Science Museum Acquires Kettering Group Archive

In 2016 discussions started with the Science Museum in London to transfer Geoff Perry's papers, recordings, images and equipment to it for cataloguing, safe storage and potential inclusion in future exhibits.

Bulls EyesThe handover from Isabel Carmichael (Perry) occurred in 2018.

In 2019, the Science Museum published an index of the records it now holds. An index of equipment, including the RACAL RA-217, the Great Northern Telegraph Undulator and the student's globe that survived forty years as an analogue computer for depicting ground tracks, has not yet appeared.

The document index can be viewed here. It will open in a new tab in your browser.

The other part of the Kettering Group archive consists of Derek Slater's papers and radio equipment. It resides at the UK's National Space Centre where some of the equipment is on display in the Centre's Rocket Tower.

Details and photographs can be found here. As usual, the page will open in a new tab in your browser.
